My old extremely gently used practice pad from the 90s. You can see a few drum strikes to the top, but I haven’t even wiped it down with water or dawn. Been back in box since 2000.

A few drummer music nerd friends and online forums have mentioned these bounce a better than the new ones, because they are thicker and the newer ones feel a little cheaper. This is made in Taiwan. I’m not sure where they produce out of now.

I haven’t tried the new products. This is just what I read and heard.
I don’t have any drumsticks since I’m an electronic musician so I didn’t bother testing, but I’m sure they’re probably right. They made things better in the 90s. Outsourcing hadn’t gotten quite as bad yet.
