Hand-carved chess set. Chess pieces and box are made from a semi-hard stone, possibly lava stone. Miniature size. The largest piece, the King, stands only 1-5/8 inches tall; pawns are a bit over 3/4 of an inch tall. Each piece is unique. Box with pieces weighs 3 pounds 9.2 ounces. Dragon-like images on each side - each unique. No provenance. Came from a storage unit of a world traveler. Closer to glass, not fragile but not for children. AS-IS, Untested.
